We are an AMA Chartered Remote Control Airplane Club

The Flying Pilgrims is a premier radio-controlled aircraft club located in eastern Superior Township (near the southwest corner of Canton Township). We take pride in our diverse community, welcoming enthusiasts of all skill levels—from those picking up a transmitter for the first time to seasoned expert pilots.

Our Flying Field

Flying Pilgrims Flying Field

The flying field has a paved runway is 500′ long and 40′ wide with groomed grass all around.  Additional amenities include a shelter, chairs, worktable, picnic tables, porta potty, and seating for visitors.

Located in Superior Township on the Northwest corner of Geddies and Ridge Road (Latitude 42° 16′ 48″ N, Longitude 83° 33′ 27″ W or it can also be found on Google Maps by searching for “Flying Pilgrims Trail”).  This flying site is a federally recognized identification area (FRIA).  This means that models flying within the defined area are not required to have a remote id (RID) module.

Flying hours are from 10:00 am to sunset Monday to Saturday.  Sunday flying hours are from 12:00 pm to sunset.
